Prior to signing up for the free trial or subscribing to one of the PowrFone Screen-pop for iPhone packages, you must have the following:
- Next, on your computer, browse to the Prowl site and register your iPhone. Copy and paste your prowl key into a text file. You will need it during the PowrFone sign up process.
Now, log in to your Highrise account. In order for PowrFone to interact with Highrise behind the scenes to create contacts, log calls, etc., a Highrise authentication token is required.
The authentication token can belong to an existing user or you can create a new user for PowrFone--it's up to you. The advantage of creating a specific PowrFone user is that you can track entries made by PowrFone as well as manage security separate from a user. If shared with a user and the user changes the password, the token will cease to work and integration will be lost until rectified.
Log into your Highrise account, click the "My info" tab, then the "User account" sub-tab. Copy and paste the token into the text file mentioned above. Type your Highrise URL including "https://" into the file as well. Your Highrise URL must be SSL enabled to work with PowrFone.
You should now have three lines of data in the text file:
- Prowl key
- Highrise authentication token
- Highrise URL
You are now ready to proceed to the secure sign-up page. To minimize fraud, we require a business email address (we don't accept free email accounts such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com domains) to sign up for our services.
